Jalena Rusaw

My areas of interest include treating Adults, children, adolescents and families experiencing issues which can create problems in the school, community and home setting.  I provide individual and family therapy to address all types of issues including anxiety, depression, hoarding, parenting, co-parenting, panic attacks, school issues, relationship issues, family communication, conflict management, parent/ teen conflict, and anger issues. I have a great respect and experience working with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault survivors.

 

I work to find the best style of therapy for you and your goals. My theoretical orientation draws on cognitive behavioral theories and a psychoanalytic approach, allowing me to create the right blend of past and current focus, and help you make progress with your concerns.

 

I am a certified administrator for Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), which is a tool used to identify personality traits and preferences. This tool is beneficial in individual, family, and couples therapy.


Education: M.S. in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Phoenix. B.S. in Psychology from Grand Canyon University.
