Hello, my name is Carlos Pineda, and I am a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee under the supervision of Jeff Beesley, LMFT. I am passionate about working with individuals, couples, and families who are navigating relationship concerns, life transitions, grief, communication difficulties, stress, anxiety, depression, and many other life challenges.
Before becoming an MFT Trainee, I worked as a Behavioral Technician (BT), providing behavioral support to neurodivergent children in both home and school settings. Through this experience, I developed a deep appreciation for group support, CBT and individualized therapeutic support. Both models showcase the importance of building meaningful relationships with clients and being present with them during these critical moments. I learned the value of understanding each client’s unique perspective, identifying their strengths, and supporting them as they work through challenges and develop new skills.
My experiences as a BT strengthened my desire to pursue a career in therapy and encouraged me to expand my therapeutic skills beyond what I initially imagined. I believe this foundation, along with my personal and professional experiences, will be valuable in supporting my future clients.
My goal is to create a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, understood, and empowered throughout their therapeutic journey. I look forward to meeting you and supporting you toward meaningful growth and positive change.
