Hello! I’m Anthony, and I’m a Student Therapist at Horizon Family and Community Services.

I believe people make a lot more sense when we take the time to understand where they come from, what they’ve been through, and the relationships and environments that helped shape them. Because of that, I try to approach therapy with curiosity instead of judgment. I’m interested not only in what someone is struggling with, but in what may be underneath it and how those patterns developed in the first place.

A lot of my work is centered around helping people better understand themselves. That might mean looking at family dynamics, relationships, culture, past experiences, or patterns that once helped someone survive or adapt but may not be serving them anymore. I enjoy working with adults, teens, couples, and families dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, relationship concerns, self-esteem, stress, and major life transitions. I’m especially interested in working with people who have felt misunderstood, overlooked, or like therapy was not really made with them in mind.

My approach is collaborative, client-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive. I draw from Family Systems, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches, depending on what makes sense for the person in front of me. I don’t believe therapy should look exactly the same for everyone. I want to understand who you are, what matters to you, what you’ve already tried, and what you actually want out of therapy before deciding what our work together should look like.

I’m currently earning my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy and Professional Clinical Counseling at Pepperdine University. I provide therapy under clinical supervision while continuing to build my skills through graduate training and supervised clinical experience.

You do not need to have the right words, have everything figured out, or even know exactly what you want from therapy before you start. We can begin with where you are and figure out the rest together.
