In 2009, I decided to continue my education and change the direction of my career path. Psychology was a passion, especially as related to trauma, and those affected by their own or others’ alcoholism or addiction.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in psychology from CSU Sacramento, Summa Cum Laude in December 2015.
I earned my Master’s degree in Psychology at CSU Chico in December of 2019. Not tied to one distinct theory, I am anchored in the attachment and family systems models.
My goal in therapy is to provide a safe, compassionate, and comfortable place for my clients to be heard, understood, and share their unique stories. I have been able to help others to feel empowered, to recognize their resilience, and strengths, and to use mindfulness to heal and respond, rather than react to the challenges of life that we all encounter. I have vast life experiences, including travel that has informed my cultural knowledge. I love working with all members of the community and have experience with transgender, teens, couples and individuals. Being the daughter of a veteran I am also eager to work with those who have given so much.
I have a grown daughter, a Portuguese Water Dog, a cat, and a house trained rabbit. I enjoy being with my family, riding on the back of my fiancé’s motorcycle, skiing, and spending time in the mountains or at the beach. I can be contacted at 916.542.9298 or [email protected]
